All Stereo issues of the Doors first LP had a mix on the song the end that cut out Jims voice at around 9 minutes in and the music was turned up. The reason this was done was because Jim was chanting the “F” word. Accidently when the tapes for the mono pressing were being mastered a few copies came out with the original studio mix where you can hear Jim chanting the “F” word. This was a pure accident. You must listen closely, but when you do you hear what Jim is saying. In order to verify that this is one of these rare mono’s, This is one of those true rare mono pressings. |
